Tobias is an accomplished CFO and Board Member based in Tokyo. He has a background in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and Internal Audit, and successfully led teams of up to 30 people in Japan.

As Japan CFO of a publicly listed German company, he oversaw all aspects of finance and accounting, as well as IT, and played a key role in the formulation and execution of long-term value creation plans. He drove the migration of a real-time database system encompassing the entire company operations. Including the rollout of the interlinked productivity applications it significantly improved efficiency and business channel profitability. Additionally, he expanded the business intelligence team to provide more data insights for better customer engagement, and played a central role in a major company transformation, including a large commercial real estate transaction.

Before being appointed as CFO, he developed his FP&A team to trusted partners of the Board in Japan. Earlier in his career he was internal auditor for Asian subsidiaries based in Hong Kong, with the knack in developing cross-divisional audit programs covering financial, operational and commercial aspects.

He is a German citizen with Permanent Residence in Japan and passionate about developing and growing people. He has a history of transforming "back office" teams into effective business partners.
